Cash Mod - Money for your forum

The idea

Now, this hasn't been brought up for a while (Yes, I know how to use the search feature), and I want to bring it back up.
In the past the Admins claimed that adding a Cash Mod to the Forumotion database would be a difficult task. I find this quite perplexing, unless they were attempting to create a intricate Mod then I see no problem. I would request that a very basic Cash Mod is installed that increases every post and only the Admin's can edit the value. Of course this would be of great benefit in my forum.

On the other hand, I would also like to bring the idea of a advanced Cash Mod back onto the plate, since no one has brought that up either, and the Techies might have just forgotten about it. One where members can use their cash to buy "items" that will simply appear in their mini profile, these could be formatted as [img] tags.

French Suggestion:


Simple Mod

- Cash increasing per post.
- Admins have ability to modify cash.
- Cash can be transferred to other members.



Advanced Mod

- Features of Simple Mod
- Shop that lets you buy items that appear as,
- [img] Tags in mini profile. Which you can set.
- Shop also lets you set the amount of time a item refreshes. 0 for infinate.
- Currency (Can set diffrent types of cash)
- Rarity
- Untransferable items.
- Lottery (Can be enabled)

As I posted in my first topic, this has already been proposed in December 2006 on the French Forums, and was also placed in the English Archives.
The French Poll had reached 700 votes and was placed into a accepted suggestions board.
Every week someone posts a topic asking where the cash mod is, and is turned away by a Admin.

This is being addressed very very slowly.

I can understand your impatience about wanting this everyone, completely. I to have requested things before and been left wondering what was going to happen as well. But I believe it is up to the tech's to decided the final heresay in the end, and as seeing things can get really busy on both forums for them, in time we shall see where it leads. Continuing to bring it up and re bump the same suggestion repeatedly I don't believe with get them to respond any quicker until they have worked it out amongst themselves first. But good luck with your suggestion.

I would say for the advanced cash mod, because people will want to something to spend the cash on. On other forums, I've seen where they only had cash, but no shop. The feedback from the members was something on the lines of "why do we have cash, but can't spend it on anything?". So, I give the nod for advanced.
