Signature/Avatar/Banner of the Week Contests?

Just like the title says.

Signature of the Week..

wherein members will give signatures they made according to the theme given.. it will be voted by the members by the end of the week. Then when the polls are started.. so does the new Signature of the week will start.. just to keep on going..

I have to say no.

Not too many people contribute to the weekly graphic contest
We get more contribute from members when we have a couple of contest because it doesn't happen a lot.
Will be more to handle at this state from the Graphic Team.

I have voted no. Here are some of my reasons as to why I have voted as such:

1. It gives the graphic team more things to do on top of their busy schedule.
2. Not many people will participate.
3. Doing something like this on a weekly basis will prove trite.

You are suggesting to change forum banner with each contest, isnt it?

Ive voted no, this would be unnecesary work to the Granphic Designers...

Vote No not all forumotion users are good in making graphics.

I'll also be voting no I'm afraid.

My issue isn't the work load of the GFX Staff (I'm evil ), but the fact that this is a support forum. Hence, the GFX section isn't a showcase gallery, but a support feature amongst others. I have seen SOTW contests on many forums, it's never been anything else than a showcase option.
So basically: not support-orientated => not voted for

Voted no because this is hard for the graphics team. People will want credits or something. People will get made at what the judges choose is the best when there might not be. Any reason why we should?
