Portal Question... Empty Portal Question...

I am new to this but feel free to check out my site: http://iowarockets.forumotion.com/

My question is how do I put my forum into my portal or, more specifically, is it possible to integrate/blend the two so that I have all the features of my portal with my full forum on the frontpage.

not too sure what you mean but have you tried
going to
"modules"
click on "portal structure"
at the "Addition/deletion of personal modules"

select "forum"
and maybe "column 2" then save?

No , yo uare wrong.
Addition/deletion of personal modules that is will work if you create an Costumer Block.
