umm a similar option is on the very right on the top of every forums index under the logout sign it says "View posts since last visitView your postsView unanswered posts"

OR

you can suggest this idea in the suggestion for your forum section

I am not sure if this is what you mean, but on my version2 each thread shows like this:
Viewing replies help please? Lp10
Obviously I have changed my buttons from the default, but you can see where it is usually, I think this Viewing replies help please? Icon_newest_reply1 is the default icon to go to the latest post on a topic

i'll try to explain a bit better, when your on the main part of your forum where you can see the different forum sections and the topics that have been posted, when you have posted in a thread then you click back on that thread through the main part of your forum it will take you straight to the first unread post in the topic

OK...that does sound like the button I have mentioned!

Ignore the fact my forum is a slightly different layout to most - you can still see this is the main index and it shows the latest updated thread, and you can click the green/orange arrow (my buttons not default) to go to the last unread post

Viewing replies help please? Lp210
Its the same button on on the topics list too.

I might be imagining it, its hard to test - but I am certain its taking me to the first unread post
