    Solved Advert replacement

    Post by Hobo606v2 August 11th 2011, 5:36 pm

We have removed adverts when a member is logged in - is it possible to REPLACE the guest adverts with our own sourced adverts.

I am willing to pay for the advert removal, the real question s, if I can source someone to pay for ads on my site, is it possible to add them in where the forum motion ads would appear?

    Has anyone done this?

Please move this to the relevant section if required - I would really like an answer!

It'd most likely only work if you're using PHPBB2 or PunBB

    thanks for the answer.

I think we use phpbb2 but we have a tech guy who looks at that stuff.

How would we achieve it with phpbb2?

All you need to do is remove the ad's that are on your forum and then put the ad code in the homepage message area.

But would this filter through to all sections like the current google ads do?

    Hi,

May I remind you that double posting isn't tolerated unless separated by 24 hours (Use the edit button) Wink

For template supporting versions you could probably try something like this

thanks for your help - I didnt intend for a duplicate! I thought the other one was sufficiently different enough and in the coding area.

    Sorry!

(thanks for the link - looks like what I need)

It's for template supporting versions. Try it out first with some simple banner code. If you incounter any problems open a topic.

    Welcome.
