Polls and Voting for Posts

On my forum, members post their stories, poetry, etc. for others to comment on. I want to set up a contest for members to be able to submit their work, and other members to vote for their favorite. Would I use a poll? If so, how would I set that up? And, how would I keep track of the voting?
