There are 2 ways to confirm a member registration. The first one is this one and the second one is to confirm the admin himself every registered member. SO either your members confirm their e-mail or you receive an e-mail every time a member registers and you have to confirm the e-mail or else that member can't log in.To change this go to admin panel=>Users & Groups=>Users=>User settings. There look for this option "New accounts activation" if you choose admin you will receive an e-mail for every registered member, if you choose user, every member will receive a confirmation e-mail.
