Create under construction message?

Is it possible to create a message on the portal and homepage of my forum stating that the forum is down for construction and in an updating process for a while? If this is possible, how do I do that? Thanks in advance.

I think that the easyst way to do this is to open up your admin panel, and go to general>configuration, find the option that says "forum under construction" (should be 4 options down), and set that to yes. It will display a default under construction message everytime someone visits the forum until you say otherwise.
