View active topics and view new posts

I have a full phpbb3 forum and i want to change to a forumotion. It has been running for 4 years and there are 2 little things which I couldnt live without.

1 is the new posts.. you click a thread then new posts and it goes to the last post you read so the next is the new ones you have not read.

Then there is the link on the index, view active topics and next to it. View new posts.

I have noticed while playing with these forums here that those options are no available although I have run this forum with phpbb3 and most of the options are the same.

Will any of these come about soon?
