The Topic Starter Thanks You

I just found out that Internet Explorer can't see "The Topic Starter Thanks You" message with the Gold Stars!

Wow, I never knew that.

I am using IE 8 and see the thanks message.

I checked, and it also works with my IE 8.

Really? I have IE 8 and it doesn't show! Why is that? I always use Firefox but today I wanted to run some tests using IE and noticed the topic starter thanks you I could not see it on IE 8.

Yes just green but nothing else

I've also see that before, But have you tried clear your browser's cache ?

Yes I have a program that clears the cache and its been cleared. This is strange on Firefox I see it just fine, in fact I assumed IE did too until yoday I noticed it wasn't showing on IE. It still isn't.

Well I had a few members also say they could not see the "The Topic Starter Thanks You" message on Internet Explorer, so I removed the code and went back to forumotions default background color change on thanked posts.

Internet Explorer has no problem seeing the change in background color to thanked posts.

My rule is, if it doesn't work for everyone I won't have it on my forum. I understand that some IE users can see the "The Topic Starter Thanks You" message, but the problem is some IE users can not. So that tells me the code is not universal enough for all users of IE to see it, and maybe some other browsers too. So for that reason alone I went back to the default color change when a post is thanked.
