Background advertisement??

I've been away from one of my forums for a while due to the death of a close family relative. I logged in today and find that there is a huge advert in the background of the forum layout that's advertising 'shop wiki.com'.

Have FM added adverts recently or have I been hacked do you think?

The images have been deleted by the creator. I suggest to change the background images. Wink

The forum theme is a Hitskin Theme and I am unable to edit the template because it's a Phpbb3 version.

It's Hitskin theme ID: theme_id=105749

I have exported the theme as a backup to my PC. How do I manually edit the file? The file extension is ".bbtheme".

I figured that if I could manually edit the file and delete the hideous background image, I could then reimport the theme. Or maybe I'm being too optimistic lol. My CSS and programming expertise is minimal.

Any help would be most appreciated. I don't have time right now to learn how to create a theme from scratch but I don't want to leave my forum like this.

I check the demo skin and it same as your problem, i think the problem was on the theme, you should try to change your background.

Try this: Go to your ACP >> Pictures and Colors >> Pics management >> Advanced Mode >> from there try to change the background pic >> then just save it.

yeah no doubt the image was deleted.
It's the background image, or just import the skin again if the skin is the same as you had evrything before.

Tried reimporting skin but no help.

Tried using the 'change background image (page)' option in the Admin CP, but no help.

It's a Phpbb3 skin. I can't edit the template which would have the background image set in.

Any other suggestions?

Hi Sophie,

I apologize for my colleagues not getting right to the point.

The issue is with the skin as the background image has been removed from the author's account.
You can only add a new image, which you can do so at:
Admin panel >> Display >> Pics management / Advanced Mode > Background picture (Page) as you have noted above my post.

You will need to find a new image, unless you can contact the theme author and request him/her to give you a copy of it.
You are free to request a new image, and to give details of it to get as close as possible in our Graphic Request section, when it re-opens shortly Smile

I don't know where your getting the idea that you need to modify a template, because you don't have to Smile

Thanks Darren. I assumed it was something to do with the actual skin template.

I have uploaded an image via Admin panel >> Display >> Pics management / Advanced Mode > Background picture (Page) but it's still not showing. The shop wiki thing is still there.
