Seriously, is anything beinging discussed in the staff forum about the wave of new members that have joined and well are spamming the hell out of this site.

I mean damn, some posts don't even make sense and some have nothing to do with the topic.

Yes, theese new member sare blatentally disrogarding the rules in as many ways as possable, and ignoring simple requests by mods...the spam is going too far.

Around what time of year do the Admin choose to take on more staff?

Because this newbieness and Spamming everywhere, is killing me.

(Not literally Cherry Blossom ..hun, so don't panic..)

The FAQ or tips & tricks need to be updated. With simple questions like

1) How to set Maximum Avatar Size?
2) A tutorial explaining the colors of the forum. The link provided earlier, does not exist anymore.
3) How to add a forum banner?

These kind of simple questions i feel are required. So that when users search its easy to find them.

The admins bring in staff when they think its needed and when they want to.
They are secretally watching everyone!

And what is it that you DON'T understand about Caihlem's post? I think he was pretty clear. Your self righteous sounding post complaining and suggesting that he edit his own post, should not have been posted here in this thread, as this thread is specifically for questions regarding how Forumotion works. Your post should have been posted in the Suggestions for Forumotion forum.

When does the Staff hire;
As said time and time again - when we feel the need.
However, some new precision; We put a lock down when a staff member leaves. This is because for a period of time after, maaaaany members think the place is vacant and therefore "easy" to take. Hence if we actually did look at hiring, we'd land on short term helpers, which isn't our goal.

Sorry Caihlem, my point was that I actually had a question but I forgot it after I began writing it.. as I had to come away from the computer mid-sentence.

I couldn't just leave what I wrote up there without a means to why I was posting.
So I apologise for my forgetfulness... side tracking is an easy thing to do though.

Anyway, I remembered what I wanted to ask, asked it and now have an answer from you.

Nope. Softlayer is a US based company. Forumotion is based in France, as are the servers.

Techies find out when they do. It can be very quick as it can take a certain amount of time.
The best case was when there was a large server breakdown over the weekend. At the time, there was a french staff member who had their telephone number and it was sorted within the next hour
On the other hand, I remember a case that lasted close to 3 days
