Hello.

I ask you to change your topic title for a new title which gives an idea of the nature of the problem, to make researches easier for visitors. You can do it with the Help with installing a skin! Icon_edit button at the top-right corner of your first post.

If 24 hours after my request, this change has still not been done, this topic will be locked !

I strongly recommend you to take a look to the board's rules in this following topic : https://help.forumotion.com/viewtopic.forum?t=154

Hello.

For phpBB skins, you must follow the instructions given here : https://help.forumotion.com/viewtopic.forum?t=324

Take note that your board will not look the same as the demo, because we don't have access to the tpl files to change the board's layout.

Where are you getting blocked when installing the skin ?

By the way, there's no way getting paid for helping. The administrator and moderators don't earn a penny for their job. The help must stay volontary.

First, you host the images.

Here's a tutorial for Imageshack : https://help.forumotion.com/viewtopic.forum?t=122

I can also suggest you to create an account on www.photobucket.com to manage your pics.

After, you put them one by one in Admin Panel > Styles Admin > Logos & Pictures, and then, you will see fields where to put your pics. To get to other fields, you use the tabs at the top of the page.

Next time, use the Help with installing a skin! Icon_edit button to avoid double-posting during the same day (as said in the rules), if you want to correct of modify your post.

You will have lots of answers here : https://help.forumotion.com/viewforum.forum?f=5

And if you look well, you will find a topic about forum headers

EDIT : Darn... I forgot to change the text color to use my moderation color... >.<

If you've downloaded a template skin, you don't need to tuch the CSS sheets.
Personally, I'd disadvise all modifications of it until you know more

Where are you getting blocked ?

sorry, but I'm feeling uneasy about your case... it's like beyond me, because I've never done it myself (and I don't have winzip...) Confused

The "Export/Import" feature works only with .bbtheme files.

to get a .bbtheme file, an administrator of another board must have installed the skin on his board and then, must have used the Export feature.

You must follow these instructions to install the skin :

Here's how to install a phpBB skin

1- You download the templete
2- You unzip the compressed folder on your hard drive
3- You host the pictures one by one (see the Host your pictures topic in the FAQ)
4- Go to your admin panel to put the URL of each button
5- Open the theme_info.cfg file and recopy each color code in your topic panel.

Unzip a file > with a decompression software, there are many decompression software. Here are the most used ones ; winzip, winrar, winace

Windows XP has already a decompression assistant integrated, byt some people prefer to use a decompression software.

To open theme_info.cfg :

Right-click > Open with > Notepad or Wordpad (with any text editor)

You have to do it all manually.

If a CSS stylesheet is included, you copy-paste it in the CSS management, and insert the accurate URLs of the background images. If you're not sure of the result, you save a copy of the old CSS in a post.

Even if there are .tpl files in the pack, you can't install them, because we can't modify the .tpl files of our boards.

*I hope I'm clear enough....*
