Adding most recently posted-in thread to the "Last Post" column?

I was wondering how I would go about changing the "Last Post" column to include the name of the thread that was most recently posted in. As it is now, it only shows who posted in it and how long ago they did. I would like to add the name of the thread that they posted in as well.

Administration Panel > Display > Homepage > Structure & Hierarchy
Hierarchy Section
Show the last topic titles on index: Yes

Actually, scratch that, I have a second question I was hoping you could answer as well.

In the pictures above, notice how the first picture says things like "Today at 16:34". How would I go about changing it to look like it does in the second picture, where it instead says "10 minutes ago", "5 hours ago" or "2 days ago", etc.

For your second question: It's possible, but since no one has the following codes for it. Then, for no unfortunately it's not possible. I may be wrong, someone can always provide the coding for it. But, I doubt it.
