Should Blogs category have a distinct url Empty Should Blogs category have a distinct url

I followed the instructions on how to activate the blogs feature given here:

https://help.forumotion.com/t72102-how-to-activate-blogs

I activated the blogs feature on my forum:

http://sulekha.forumotion.com/f21-blogs

My question was:

is it possible to configure the url of the Blogs category to be something along the lines of http://sulekha.forumotion.com/blogs ?

Sanket informs me that this is not possible. Now in my opinion this would be a very useful feature to have. The layout of the blogs category is different from the other categories. Secondly it would help in promoting your forum if you ask people to make blog posts on http://sulekha.forumotion.com/blogs rather than to post their blogs on http://sulekha.forumotion.com/f21-blogs; people are more likely to remember the first url than the second url.

Just as the layout of the other categories is different from the Blog category, so the url of the Blog category should be distinct from the url of the other categories.

I really do not see why the links for blogs show be different from other links.

it is possible that certain posters may like to only post blogs and not forum posts. in other words, they may be interested in sharing their ideas and opinions but not in having extended discussions and debates. Having a simple and distinct url for the blogs category ( http://sulekha.forumotion.com/blogs in the case of my forum) would help attract such posters. Notice that the layout of the blogs category is distinct from the layout of all the other categories. There is no reason why the url cannot also be distinct so as to indicate that the blogs category is a special category distinct from the other categories.
