Separating blogs and forums categories

This is my forum:

I have a set of categories where the layout is in the 'forums' style and another where they are in the 'blogs' style. I want to separate the 'forums' and 'blogs' style categories. Just as if you go to this site:

https://help.forumotion.com/forum

'About Forumotion', 'Support Forumotion', etc. are different 'shells' within which several categories have been placed.

How do i do this? Many thanks for your help.
