Mods are going to ask you to change your title to something relating to this question.

Also, searching has provided
https://help.forumotion.com/t47303-little-click-noise-upon-new-message-on-chatbox?highlight=chatbox+noise
and
https://help.forumotion.com/t70943-chatbox-noise-when-new-message?highlight=chatbox+noise

No "yes" answer was provided for either one, so I do not believe this is possible. Smile

Haha. Maybe a title like "Chatbox noise" or something.

I still don't think it's possible but I'll keep looking.

Seems like your best bet would be to use FM Chat - It has a lot of options that the built-in chatbox for ForuMotion doesn't have, for example the sound you're looking for. More details here;
https://help.forumotion.com/t88458-how-to-create-a-pop-up-chat-box-fmchat

As for sound on the built-in Chatbox, it was suggested

https://help.forumotion.com/t105846-chatbox-sound-notification

If you're trying to browse messages that have already been sent, but new messages are sending you back to the bottom, turn off the "Auto Refresh" feature (the little tick box) until you're down browsing. Smile

No everyone was complaining that the chat sends them to the bottom every time they try to type something new and some people have old computers that can't handle the stuff.

Alright, we've been playing around with it, and we're on the FM Chat now.

If the Sound when a new message is entered is turned ON, users are sent to the bottom of the page while the sound plays.
