Blocking bulk IP addresses
Is there a way I can block IP addresses in Bulk when they appear as guests from overseas. My forum is blocked to guests but I am noticing an increase of guests with an IP address starting with 150.70.xxx.xxx. Currently I am doing it one by one but is there a way I can make this automatic. eg: 150.70.***.*** Can anyone help. This is strictly an Aussie forum and some of the guests are coming in from Japan and elsewhere.

150.70.***.***
Thats what you got to enter when you ban.
Users & groups>Ban Control
Ban an Ip Address
Add the above thing.

That will not ban them from visiting your forum, but from registering.

I don't get any error. There is nothing in the "blocked IP addresses" section.

Many thanks for your suggestions. Nothing is showing in the "UNBAN" section but that doesn't tell me anything. I will close this now and keep an eye on my site for any more "Guests" that show up from that area.

Re: Blocking bulk IP addresses
Hi,
I should inform you at when you do a IP RANGE BAN you are blocking all off the IP's with those numbers.
I myself, as an Aussie, would now not be able to access your forum as I have an IP within the 150.70 with Dodo as my ISP, by brother with Telstra also has 150.70
Neither of us would be able to your forum.
Only do this such ban if you fully understand the potential consequences.
