Adfly interferes with login
I tried logging into 2 forumotion created forums and I have been having problems doing so. I tried logging into Avacweb and Easybbtutorials and I cant seem to log into any of them. When I go to login Adfly pops up and brings up an ad I go to skip ad up top and it redirects me to the forums without logging me in therefor I cannot log in. This has been going on for about a week. What is this all about?
Re: Adfly interferes with login
DO you have adfly installed on that forum?? Are they Your forums?
Like are you the founder
if not At the bottom of the fourm look for contact us and select that that sends a message to the Founders, admins ect let them know somethings up that is if you not owner.

Re: Adfly interferes with login
I am not the owner of these forums I have already contacted avacweb and they said they have not done anything different and it must be forumotion. It doesn't seem to happen with my forums but with the other forumotion forums I go on it happens.
Re: Adfly interferes with login
Could you post a screen Shot or An image of this going on?? this sounds weird?? IDK whats doing this.
Re: Adfly interferes with login
Ok here is what I do I hit login and it takes me to a page that looks like this
Then Once I hit skip ad it redirects me back to the forums not logged in.

I look up more posts with this issue the only fix i saw was that it was reported to Pro-admin and that work was done to get this to stop I think now we wait for a Admin/ staff member to come along to report this to the pro-admin. so i think its not on your end. So Staff member please read.

Hi Poppycheese.puppycheese wrote:ok here you go www.avacweb.com
www.easybbtutorials.com
Those are the two forum links.
I am a member on the first forum listed and Do not have a problem with getting in there site at all i have also run a test on there forum and do not see the same problem as you.
As said by the other members here i Do think you need to run a scan on your computer for Malware
also clearing your computers catch will help.
Some times members are to blame for this if they use links to photo's that are hosted by Adfly then the site looks for that post to block there forums.
I hope this gets fixed for you soon.

Re: Adfly interferes with login
The problem was logging in. Did you log into the website? I know it's not me because others are also having the same problem and I tried a different browser also I tried to clear my cache nothing worked. Also I have tried logging in from my other computer and it did the same thing
Re: Adfly interferes with login
Yes I'm logged in right now on LG's forum with no problems at all.
i have also looked over all the new posts and Do not see any photo's or links to that site you are showing as linking you back to when your logged in. Give LG a shout by pm here or on he's site contact link on the footer
He may log in on your account and run a test for you

Re: Adfly interferes with login
And I think it's Adfly or whatever it means. Without, I can easily login to Mr.E's board. So, it's not FM

Re: Adfly interferes with login
Try to see if you can login via.. /login rather than using the pop-out login.
Re: Adfly interferes with login
Alright, I have no idea why this is happening to you only. Well, as for now all we can do is wait until TGF informs the techs about this.
Re: Adfly interferes with login
Just a hunch here, but isn't this the exact kind of behaviour when an account has been de-activated?

Re: Adfly interferes with login
uh-oh why would my account be deactivated? That's weird. Plus it happened on 2 websites
Re: Adfly interferes with login
Well, why don't you make yourself a test forum and try to login without Adfly. By the way, this site is a FM site too, so it's just those two you can't login to. LG's and Mr.E's are both the same wave to me, plus different types of boards (phpBB3 and punBB), so I really strongly feel this is an internal issue rather than a technical one. And even if so, why don't you go back to an older version of Adfly or disable it to test it? Just trying to help!

Re: Adfly interferes with login
What do you mean disable adfly? how can I do this? and by the way I do appreciate the help
Re: Adfly interferes with login
Thanks! I'm off in a moment though, puppycheese, so I'm gonna keep it short. There are plenty of ways to disable it, just add "adfly disable" to your internet search query.
Did you try the other options yet?

Re: Adfly interferes with login
We can not turn off the adfly links. Have tried clearing your browser's cache?

Hi there is not much we can do but hold out for the pro admin to look in to this for you you can not turn that off or disable it, it's a link problem that has to be looked at by the admin's now
