Locking Forum Empty Locking Forum

I hope I have posted this to correct area. All I want to know is how to "Lock" a Category/Forum so that no one can post to it. Can someone help please? Thank you.

you can

Admin>>Forum>>Management>>select the forum and edit>> use lock status.
