Locking a forum

i know dis may sound stupid, but how do i lock a forum? i have made a garbage forum where old posts go. im not using the basket because i want it to be visible to other members. so i need to lock garbage, but i still need to be able to move old topics there. how do i do that?

Hello, do you mean lock it so that NO-ONE can reply?

If so, please follow:

Admin panel >> General (tab) >> Categories and Forums > select your forum required with the and next to forum status change the Unlocked to Locked.

to move a topic you have to scroll down the page to the bottom, and select mod tools > move this topic.
