Yes or No?
Locking Announcement Forum
I miss the days when I saw a yellow 'new post' icon on the announcement forum and I thought: Sweet a new update!
Now when I look there it is because of a user commenting on an update, and it just bugs me. I propose that you reverse it so that the forum is locked again.
Drag~
P.S. Maybe there could be an Only Topic in the GD for comments on the newest update or something

Re: Locking Announcement Forum
The only reason I've never suggested this is because most of the forumotion support forums are doing this.
So, I think they got a direct order to allow this,
I totally agree with you on this suggestion. When an important announcement has been posted, some members might not be able to view it since they'll have to read comments from an old announcement. And the global mods would have less forums to moderate if this suggestion has been accepted,
Also, Typlo's announcement stole my comments from my topic I've started in the G.D. forum,

Tell me about it.
The threads should be locked
thats exactly what I feel.
I hate it when it turns out to be - forumotion staff thread.
I'm always Aw man ... so close... next time its an update

Re: Locking Announcement Forum
I'm voting yes.
And you'd find im also the cause of this whole part where members were replying to new announcements
I was the first to find out that you could reply to the new accounts when the official announcement was made about the intergrated blogs LOL
My bad

Re: Locking Announcement Forum
It should be reversed in my opinion. I liked it better when it was locked.
Maybe you can comment on it now though because the staff are simply promoting the blog feature. Can't the blog be used in another catergory, though?

I wouldn't say first,darren1 wrote:I was the first to find out that you could reply to the new accounts when the official announcement was made about the intergrated blogs LOL
I don't reply to messages in the announcement forum and will not start today, unless it's important,
Also, I almost did not see Mr.Mario's new post...

And am sure this happened to others, so you can't really blame the people who don't obey that post,

I do say first; It's just that it was negative, and me saying the the announcement of the blogs was late

Re: Locking Announcement Forum
Cant a new catergory be made where we can make our own blog, and remove the blog feature permantly from the announcements section? Then everyones happy, and you would still be promoting the blog feature as well if that is the reason for that being there

I think that this should be as long as the user didn't log in. If the user saw it, we/you can't see it again!
