Gallery photos posting problem.

Hi again guys.

My members are reporting a gallery posting problem. They (and myself) are getting this message:  Your uploaded file (006.JPG) is too large or corrupted


My own photos are 800 x 600 so are not oversize and it's hard to imagine several members all having corrupted photos.


Any help would be gratefully accepted please.

could it be the file size exceeds the max

I think Redwolf is right, so I think the best option would be to make sure to resize the images before they're posted. I have a gallery on my own forum and I've never had this problem though, but then again all the images in the gallery are pretty small. But definitely try resizing and see if it works

Nope it's not the size. We've always been able to post photos at 800 x 600 until now. 

Just to be sure though, I just re-sized down to 640 x 480 and then down to 400 x 300 and get the same error message.

The photos can't be corrupt either I can post them on other sites too.

im not referring to the dimension of the photo im referring to the actual amount of space the photo takes up in KB.

if the file size is too high reducing the image dimensions wont effect the size

Images has a size (weight). Do you have enough space for new images?

I'm not that computerate. To what do you refer and how do I find out?

If it helps, posting photos into the boards is not a problem. Only the gallery.

Administration Panel > Modules > Gallery > Storage

Thanks for that. It appears that the storage space is all used. How do I set about getting more?

Using credits.

Administration Panel > Misc. > Credits Management
Buy Credits.
Then use them to add more storage space. The storage space will be limited by the the period of time you purchase. It means when the time expires you will not able to upload any more images until you buy more storage space. You will have to purchase space for the storage space you have used and extra to upload more images.
