can't log in as admin on locked (for maintenance) site

Hello! As I was creating my new forum, I logged out as admin and now I can not log back in. I changed my password before I logged out and now I can't log in with my new login or my old one. Whenever I click "I forgot my password" I get a message that says, "The administrator of this forum is processing a maintenance." I had set this for 7 days.Â

Any help would be great!

Thanks for the quick reply. I still can't log in via, "Direct connection to the Administration Panel." I need to get to the Administration Panel to take my forum out of the locked state it is in right now so I can reset my password through the "I forgot my password" button.

I have looked at that page. None of the problems were mine. I contacted one of the admins so they can reset my password. I will post again if it doesn't work.

You don't need to contact admins, just wait for someone reply on topic. Someone will help you.

They will reply on topic faster then on message because it isn't allowed support with pm, and because maybe some admin will first come, or you will get help from some other staff...

But ok. Now you just need to wait staff. I can't help you more than this, sorry.

Ok, I'll wait and see what happens. I really appreciated your help!

EDIT: Worst case scenario, I wait 7 days for the forum to let me back on. I would still like help though.

Even if you have set your forum under maintenance, the founder should be able to log in. Are you the founder? Also do you have two accounts (founder and test account)?

Hi,

You could always log in to the utilities and restore your forum. I'm sure that process will lift the maintenance and I think, put your password back to the one you need to log into the forum utilities.

I'm say that too, but he say that he is try all in password problems and in utilies in link I'm give to him, so... He know is it work or not.

He doesn't need to log into the admin panel though and he's made it perfectly clear he can access the utilities or how would he know he can't access admin panel via the "Direct Connection"

He can do a backup and I believe this will restore the forum and will reset his password to the one he can access the utilities with.

I tried that. I logged in to the utilities without any issues. I selected the backup option and nothing changed. I still can't log in.

Once again, I really appriciate all the help I'm getting here. You guys are great!

You did try and log in with the founder account and the password you used to log into the utilities?

It was a full backup you did?

It comes up with a message after you've done the backup saying something along the lines of "Attention : The founder's password has been synchronized with the utilities password.Use now the utilities password to log in to your forum."

So then you click the above link and you'll be taken to the login page then you enter your username (it could have went back to admin) and then log in with the password that you used to log into the utilities. In fact you could probably log into the admin panel via the utilities.

This is true, if you're able to log in to the utilities, you should be able to go to the admin panel, there is an option in the utilities to access the admin panel Wink

However, if the passwords for both the utilities and your admin panel still doesn't match, you need to request for a synchronization to Sanket, so that the new password you saved will be matched for both the admin panel and utilities. (That would be case 3 in the thread link provided by Zyon).

When I clicked to do a full backup, I didn't get any message like that. I've tried logging into the admin panel but I get the same issue. None of the password/username conbinations I use work.

If I link the password to both accounts, which user name would I login with? I have the email for Utilities, the normal login (Admin) and the new username I tried to create.

Once Sanket responds to your request, you should try to log in with the new username you saved for your founder account(both the forum/AP and utilities), to see if the problem gets fixed. Wink
