PM Bot. Empty PM Bot.

Post by Sir. Mayo March 11th 2014, 9:42 pm

Hello,
I have an idea for FM.
There should be the option to have a bot/bots.
Not Bots that post but Bots that when pmed send a PM to all the staff members in the group that the Bots set to. This would/could allow faster support or allow a better way to get in contact with users. That way if the bot can be PMed by a guest for questions or help with signing up it would allow faster or quicker support with things like
-lost password
-username change
-staff app

This would work like a ticket system.
Once a pm is submitted its messages all the Staff members for the group the bot is set to. and the first person to "take" (take as in give support) will work directly with the user.

Hope this is easy to understand, if not let me know.

Once all staff is pm'ed, all guys will take issue in charge and job will be done several times.

Do you know why when we lose our password we must contact one and only one staff member ?

Good idea but would be better if bot did not send any pm but opened a ticket in a private sub-forum.

And for this, no need to get a bot. A simple subforum with permission to open topics but not to read is enough

French tutorial -> Créer un forum où les membres postent, mais seuls les admins lisent.

Sorry if the same trick already exists here, i made only a very quick search.

That could work to im saying that if one member already gave support or is giving support it wont allow any other members to give support unless its transfered by the staff member currently giving support.

I really do not understand this suggestion.

You can already send a mass pm to groups.

A user sends a PM to a member called Staff (for example)

Staff is not a real user but a bot who will send in an automatic way a copy of pm received.

This way anyone in the staff can handle with the issue, not only the one who received originally the message.

Here for example, if a bot existed, no problem if the member pm'ed is not there ! Any support moderator, manager or admin could handle with the issue.

The only problem would be that each staff member would be working on the same issue.

Exactly !!

Suggestion is not so bad, but i think it needs to be adjusted or completed with more details.

I did add that if a staff member already grabs it, the link is canceled. So it works like an activation link
