Post by Kimmy May 1st 2014, 2:29 pm

All of a sudden, the icon for the spoiler box has a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it, and it is not working properly. Can you tell me how to correct this? Thank you.

Here is what it looks like. I think there is supposed to be a  ]  instead of =

Nutty wants Charlie to win!:

If I remove the equal sign and replace with bracket, it works. But I don't know why all of a sudden, it started doing this.

Here is link to my forum….

So on your forum, the ] in the first spoiler is being removed automatically?

Hello,

Did you check this?
AP > General > Word Censoring
> Check if ']' is replaced?

Also, if you have Javascript on your forum try disabling it first and see if it will solve the problem:
AP > Modules > Javascript Management:
Enable Javascript Management : No
> Save

If that doesn't solve the problem, please try clearing your browser's cache and cookies.

Hi.
I checked both of the suggestions. There was nothing in word censoring, and the javascript is not enabled.
It isn't only my computer that is the issue.

Do you have a section where guests can post?  If yes, please post a link to it.

I had started a topic quite a while back. I had tired everything suggested and nothing helped.

Here is the link to the original thread…..

If I type the words "this is what it looks like" with the spoiler button, it looks like this. It doesn't say spoiler on the top and hide the words.

this is what it looks like:

Could you create a section or allow guests to post within a section? This will allow us to do some tests.

One thing you can try is ACP --> General --> Configuration --> Resynchronize your forum --> Yes

If the statement I want to hide says HELLO, when I do it, instead of saying "spoiler" on top and having the word HELLO hidden, it shows the word HELLO on top.

Hello, I have tested your spoiler and I have yet to see any issues.  This is how spoilers are supposed to work.

If the code says this:
Code:
[spoiler="Spoiler Title"]Text Here[/spoiler]

Then there will be a spoiler title on top and will look like this:
Spoiler Title:

--but if the code says this:
Code:
[spoiler]Text here[/spoiler]

Then no text will appear on top.
Spoiler:

Perhaps a screenshot so that I can see the problem you are getting?
