portal as home page

How do i make my portal page the home page ? or should i say the first page new members see when they come onto my website !

Once you activate the portal it will automatically be your Homepage. If you saved your forum link using a bookmark make sure you didn't save the bookmark with /index.htm at the end of your forum address because that will redirect you to the main page of the forum. Type your forum address just the way it is.

Can you also change the name of PORTAL - Home

and Home - Forum, and if so how?

Also - can you delete unwanted Nav Links, as the ones I want to get rid of are greyed out?

If you want to change the names you need to change the buttons you currently have with other ones saying Forum and Home. You can change this from admin panel=>Styles=>Pictures and colors=>List of pictures. Click on the picutre you would like to change there.
For your second question, no you can;t delete the links but you can hide them by going to admin panel=>Styles=>Pictures and colors=>List of pictures and click on the picutre from the nav bar you would like to remove. Then check the "Hide" box and click on Save.

hi definatly not working, if you type in my address www.ukfishingforums.co.uk it takes you to the forum and not the portal first

if thats your forum, then, i guess maybe you should use www.ukfishingforums.darkbb.com as your forum address

The reason i have www.ukfishingforums.co.uk

with to domain name www.ukfishingforums.co.uk or the phpbb forum name http://ukfishingforums.darkbb.com/index.htm it should still redirect me to the portal page firstly then have the option to move to the forum

no need for apologize

all i have done is pay for a .co.uk and a place one the net with out going through forumotion/phpbb and i have redirected http://ukfishingforums.darkbb.com/portal.htm through my domain providers so i can plug my website all i want all over the net with www.ukfishingforums.co.uk instead of http://ukfishingforums.darkbb.com/portal.htm because to be fair who's going to remember all that when they can just type in the .co.uk address

staff any chance you can look into this for me please let me know what you think !
