Alternating post colors Vista theme..

greetings..

I've just changed my forum theme to Vista Green by installing it off Hitskin properly..

It altered the setting I had adjusted to make alternating posts a different color for ease of viewing and differentiating posters..

Since I installed Vista.. the colors have reset to white.. and nothing I do on the color panel changes that..

I think he used CSS as well to create his skin, so it will always overwrite the settings you do in the colors panel. To do the change, go to "Styles / Colors / CSS" and in the text field, search for the entry below (Ctrl+F)

Don't delete it though, just change the red part to the color you want and click submit. If you don't know the Hex-Code for the color, go to the colors panel, choose the color and click ok. Then you can copy the numbers that appear in the field next to the color.

This hex chart can also be very helpful in selecting the correct color. I like to use this the most.

I too had this problem. You will have to change pretty much all colors in the CSS.

The one that I mainly had to change was the LINKS. There is a heading in the CSS called Links, and several different link options for different colors.
