domain name renewal and date

hello, i have some questions.
If  buy domain name for 1600 credits in 25/01/2015.
It expires on 25/01/2016. I renew it for new 1600 credits purchased in 09/02/2016 then expiration date is 09/02/2017 or 25/01/2017?
What about if someone else buy it before my renewal after his expiry?

you can't lost domainname.forumotion.com
It stays at your forum so noone can use it even if you have domainname.com

thanks for information but it stills question montionned in first of topic about renew after expiry of domain name.

after expiry you can buy new, same if it is aviable.

60 days before expiration date in admin panel will be message that you can renew it.

I think after reneval date will be 25.1.2017. But I'm not sure, I newer renewed my domain here

The expiration date, will always be In a given year as per the date of the "Initial" purchase. All registrars operate the same.

For example, If you purchased a domain dated 25/01/2015, whether you renew It (example for one year) before or after It's expiration, It will expire In 25/01/2016.

It can take even a few days, you will know when you write url and it redirect you to new domain.

we get confirmation from a member about date of expiration if i renew after domain name expiry.problem resolved.

After it expire, you can't renew it as it isn't yours. you can only buy new with same name if it is aviable

Then when it expirate it is not yours when you click on renew as you buy new domain name, is it? expirate date is second one 09.02.2016?

Look, when you buy domain, it is yours. You can have it and renew before it expire.

When domain expire it's not yours any more, it is public, and anyone can buy it.

If noone buy it after expiration, you can buy it again.

To avoid any Issues with It's expiration, simply set the domain name(s) to renew automatically via the "Auto Renewal" feature.

Every domain registrar has It (or some variant).
