Question about new Domain
So my 1 year domain just expired, and was looking to get a new domain name all together, now if i'm reading the rules correctly, i gotta wait 60 days for GoDaddy to clear things up? Just wanted to verify what i've read up on, thanks guys!
Also was wondering about this since i only saw a "renewal" button:

Once the domaine name has expired, there is still a waiting time before the domaine name be available. This waiting time doesn't depend on our service but on Godaddy service. (Over 60days)
After the waiting time, you'll be able to buy the domaine name.

Re: Question about new Domain
Hello @sugarpooper
if you had a domain like http://mydomain.com and now you want to buy a new domain like http://mydomain2.com you just have to wait for the expiration of the domain name without confirming the renewal of the domain name
Once that the domain name will expire you will be able to request a new domain name!
If you want to keep the "current" customized domain name you just have to confirm the renewal
The text you quoted is related on the transfer of the domain name: for example if I have domain.com bought with forumotion and I want it separated, for example if after the expiration I want to buy it from another domain-registrer as GoDaddy, 1and1, etc..
Hope I understood the question, if not, just tell me

Re: Question about new Domain
Thank you Niko for answering my question, just a bit confused as to when i will be able to choose a new domain name, since i only see a renewal button. In the main page of my admin panel it says "Your domain name has now expired. You still have the possibility to renew for one year during the next 9 days by going to Credit Managment at the "Misc" tab."
does this mean i have to 9 days to get to choose a new one?

Re: Question about new Domain
It means that you have 9 days to renew the domain name that expired.

Re: Question about new Domain
@sugarpooper no, of course..does this mean i have to 9 days to get to choose a new one?
it is just saying that you have 9 days more to renew your domain name with the old customized domain name, so if you want to keep that domain name you still have 9 days.. after this period everyone will be able to buy it
For example if I want to buy your old customized domain name I have to wait 9 days, unless you decided to renew it
but if you want to change it, just wait and do not do anything
Re: Question about new Domain
Pretty discouraging when the manager of the forums has to be so vague when responding to my thread.
Re: Question about new Domain
