Different buttons and icons in different categories

I strongly recommend looking at my forum from the website in which it is embedded, as the background is transparent and the text is white, rendering it invisible when viewed directly from forumotion.com.  The website on which it is embedded is below:

My forum has two categories.  What I would like to do is set each category up with its own buttons and icons.  Is there a way to differentiate this, or am I stuck with both categories using the same buttons/icons?

Sorry to keep pushing.  If it's not possible, it's not possible.  I know what I'm asking probably doesn't have any easy solution.
