Hi there,

Are you referring to just banners that are displayed on the topics?

Yeah, banners that would say "Support Desk" but the problem is is that you can only click on the name above the banner to get onto the topic. What I need is to be able to click onto a banner that redirects me onto the topics without having to click onto the name above the banner itself. the banner has the name on it, but you would have to click onto the exact same name above the banner.

All you simply need to do is make the image into a link.

Code:
<a href="Link goes here"><img src="Image link goes here" /></a>

Admin Panel -->> General -->> Categories and Forums -->> The forum's description  is where the code will go.

You only put the links where I informed on the code.

Code:
<a href="The redirected link goes here"><img src="the banner image link goes here" /></a>

You have to use the URL address of the page that the banner would direct you after you click on it.

Underneath the banner, so when it shows the banner image on the forum it will also show the detailed text underneath the banner. For some reason the code works, but it doesn't allow me to type underneath the coding. If I do that then it shows a big huge wide gap on the forum in the category where the forum is. The coding definitely works. I just can't type underneath the coding otherwise it messes up my forum category in terms of length x width.

Solved Re: Touchable banners

Post by SkyGuide Sat Oct 24, 2015 10:31 pm

I'm using Windows 8 and that sucks like hell. Basically, I put the coding into the description, then added both the image and the right URL, then I clicked save. The banner now redirects me onto the right page. Next, I went back to where I did the coding and I saw an image of swift gaia in the flesh where I typed the coding, so I decided to type the text undeneathr the banner that was in full view, then I clicked save. I then went back onto the forum and saw a big space underneath the banner that has the coding. I just don't know how to type in the text that I want underneath the coded banner in the description.

Yeah. You can see that i added in botht eh image and the right link. Like I said, the banner works. The problem I'm having is that I am unable to type into the description box without it interfering with the code. For example: Typing in a detailed description of what the forum is about underneath the banner.

In that code I posted recently, put your description you want where it says "BATTLE GROUND".

Code:

I copied and pasted the code into the description and I replaced "battle Ground" and added in the description, but it still doesnt work. It leaves a gap.
