Credits and Subscription model

Some days ago i found that my paypall account is blocked. Never used PayPall for anything else but for sub for forumotion.

That does not matter i do not care about paypall.

Problem is that i bought some credits to buy package only to realise that package is fully locked behind paypall subscription.

There is no other way to get package even with credits bought?

Only the monthly subscription requires going through PayPal. In fact, it is the PayPal service provider that manages the subscription and renewal.

If you choose a Package per year (and not per month), you can spend the credits directly.

Before commiting the purchase just to check information:

- To have custom domain name i must use payed package

- Only way to use package is trough monthly paypal subscription or trough full year purchase via credits

- As a forumotion user i remember that there was a free domain name gifted to active forums, do such thing exist now?

Yes you must have a active Package at all times. If the pack runs out then your domain name will stop working until you pay again

Check if Forumotion supports other payment methods besides PayPal. If your PayPal account is blocked, resolving that issue with PayPal might be necessary for future transactions, depending on Forumotion's policies.

Yes, there is a topic that addresses the subject and makes the details clear (although it needs an update). Despite agreeing that we are hostage to Paypal for everything, if the entire community agreed through a suggestion for improvements to the platform, that other means and currencies were used to purchase plans and credits, it would be very advantageous for Forumotion. Sorry for getting off topic, but it was a rant (of years ).

There are currently 4 platforms you can use to buy credits on Forumotion  (you can use credits for full year subscription)   :
