Adding Java Script to forum page not portal?

Hi I was just wondering as I stumbled across some Java Script I want to put on my forum so people actually go into the forum to look at it rather glancing at the portal and moving on. How would I add it to the bottom of my page? I no how to make HTML pages but I really don't understand how they connect to the actual forum as they don't show up any where...?

Not sure what you are trying to do, but you can place scripts in the site description in "General / Config". If the code is too long for that field, use the Script Generator. In case you want it only appear on the main forum page, you can use the homepage message in "General / homepage / Config".
