rank administration Empty rank administration

Post by nikki_kev Mon Jul 07 2008, 19:06

I have assigned people to a rank, so newbies have no starts, regular users have 1 start etc.

Now, as they post more and move up the ranks, will this change automatically or will I have to do this for evey single member? Is there a way so it does it automatically?

as long as you have made the ranks with a set amount of posts needed to get the rank, say newbie has 0 posts, but then regular users have to have 200 posts, then it will change automatically for you.

have you set the ranks for special ranks? it definately does it automatically the only reason it wont is if the rank hasnt saved right. In yoru rank administration, it should have a rank called regular member then and you put minumum posts at 20?

yeah I names it regular member, set the rank as 20 and then pressed save. But when they posted over 20 posts, it didn't automatically go from newbie to regular.

set as special rank? yes or no? which one do I select to make it automatically change when they post into the next category?

When it says no - it shows how many posts they need to make. If I set it as a special rank I can't see the number of posts needed.

make sure its not set as special rank so it requires the member to reach a certain number of posts. Other than that i am not sure why it wouldnt work automatically for you.

rank administration Empty Ranks not showing up

Post by littlepeddler Thu Jul 17 2008, 18:08

My ranks are not showing up and I have tried to change it ever which way I can and save. The only one that shows is for the Admin at 0. None of the rest are showing and my members list is growing an I am having to rank them myself. I know I click on save. but went you look at the list and where it says mim. post it only shows the Admin. Am I not doing something right? Hello
