Is there a way to enable the forum users to give themselves a custom rank / title?

I can't seem to find this.

Clarify: I do not want to give everyone a custom title as the Admin, i would rather enable them to give themselves custom titles.

users cant give themselves ranks...

but the closest thing you can do is to set post count ranks ...
which users get from reaching a set required amount of posts

bummer. so there is no way for a user to set their own custom title?

though you could make another profile field...(users & group > profile)
where every member is able to change it...
and put it somewhere at the top of your profile fields..
i dont think there is anything else you could do

is it possible to create this custom field and have it display natively underneath the person's login name?

for example, here it shows as "Forumotion Member"

on this forum "forumotion member" is the rank name

of course you could just disable any ranks
and make this profile field....
and like i said... in the page where it shows all profile fields.. move it up to the very top... so that it kinda appears like a rank
