Graphics Gallery

First topic message reminder :



Here I propose a Graphics section for Forumotion members to share some of
thier creations with us. We have alot of creative minds among us and
inspiring graphic artists egar to share , learn and expand thier
graphic skills. So please feel free to post some of your work here if
you'd like.

What the Graphics Gallery is Not :

~ A place to attack other members creations : I ask you to please be nice
and refrain from hateful, judgemental posts of this nature. Members
found doing so will be addressed accordingly.

~ A place to spam one's entire graphic creation history: I ask you to please be selective and avoid over posting graphics here. Members are allowed to share
thier graphic designs here once a day , if they choose. ( Please use the edit feature to add to the original post if you feel the need to share more .) Graphic posts must be seperated by a 24 hour time frame.

~ A place for explicit , inappropriate graphics of a sexual nature,
graphics including profanity and such offensive materials will be
removed and warnings will be given.

Please Note: These rules may be updated at anytime, accordingly if necessary. So members, please reread them often and respect them, so we may all enjoy sharing our graphics here.

I'll check it out. I havn't probably given it much of a chance at all, but ideally, I like to be able to do something properly from the moment I first try it.

When I first got gimp, I tried to use it and I couldn't draw even a line. I didn't use it for a long time and one day I got up and I decided to learn it. I started clicking buttons and making lines, texts and easy stuff... I have read only one tutorial so far but I have got used to Gimp.

That is exactly how i lernt to use photoshop I had it on my computer for a few years before i ever used it

i made a kira(light/deathnote) signature.

which is animated.

I was thinking of making Zac Efron sig. Dunno if any one likes i certanly dont but it like teh whole Entire world does. I like Josh Peck lol. So shall i make one or not?

How do you make like a outline around a image. Like in the banner on this site, see the white line? How do you do that in Gimp

It's simpler than you may think.
1- position guides on where you want to delimitate your outline.
2- Create a transparent layer who will be used for this outline.
3- Take your rectangle selection, and make a selection using the guides as limits.
4- On your image window : Selection > Border > 1px
5- Take the gradient tool, then make a foreground-to-transparent gradient.
6- Deactivate your selection (Select > None)

If you want images, I can make screenshots, but tell me which version you have.
If you have 2.4, I can take screenshots right away since I have the 2.4.5 version on my Ubuntu 8.04 which is my current and main OS, but if you are using a 2.6 version, I will need to boot on my Ubuntu 8.10 LiveCD to take screenshots for the 2.6 version, to make sure the explanations fit to your version.

Even if you're now banned, I post this reply, just in case you could see this post : Actually, I'm Katt, I just changed my username after I had issues with some members on the French side.

About the explanation, if I make pics, I'll write a tutorial which will be available on my board anyway.

Just wanted to show off my little creations...

Sorry but I don't like them very much. You can improve these:

• Quality of creations
  
• Better font
  
• More interesting backgorund
  
• Gloss effect
  
• Use of colors which match

Their bad, I've seen worse however if you keep practising then thats when you'll start getting higher quality images

The first doesn't look right - but I think it's because I know too much of the manga
(L doesn't smile)

The second is nice, I like the different color effects. On a Death Note touch, I find it really sweet the fact that you've infused part of it with Kira (red hair and red tones). The battle between the Deamon and the Angel

Yes Lady Vala, MrMario is right. No one knew how to make graphics the day he was born... Practice improves us!

I like guitars and the sound they make; so, I made myself a wallpaper. This is a resized version -- just so you know.

It look very nice! It's not very good quality though, but it must be so because of the resizing. Very interesting work. Bravo!

Ok I learned how to make buttons. What do you think of these? They're a little bit big I know but I like the way they are on my forum.
