Graphics Gallery

First topic message reminder :



Here I propose a Graphics section for Forumotion members to share some of
thier creations with us. We have alot of creative minds among us and
inspiring graphic artists egar to share , learn and expand thier
graphic skills. So please feel free to post some of your work here if
you'd like.

What the Graphics Gallery is Not :

~ A place to attack other members creations : I ask you to please be nice
and refrain from hateful, judgemental posts of this nature. Members
found doing so will be addressed accordingly.

~ A place to spam one's entire graphic creation history: I ask you to please be selective and avoid over posting graphics here. Members are allowed to share
thier graphic designs here once a day , if they choose. ( Please use the edit feature to add to the original post if you feel the need to share more .) Graphic posts must be seperated by a 24 hour time frame.

~ A place for explicit , inappropriate graphics of a sexual nature,
graphics including profanity and such offensive materials will be
removed and warnings will be given.

Please Note: These rules may be updated at anytime, accordingly if necessary. So members, please reread them often and respect them, so we may all enjoy sharing our graphics here.

So, you should change your darkred for a brighter red (since it'f for your board) and make them plain-colored instead of using neon effects. If you want to add an effect, use a black outline.

In the first avatar, the cropping seems OK, except for two small places on the left side, next to the elbow.
The second one's cropping should be improved. If the Avril Lavigne pic you used was originally bigger, crop it before resizing it, not after, and I don't recommand the wand tool who makes aliased edges. Use other tools or techniques such as the lasso, the quick mask, the bezier curves, etc. and you should feather the obtained selection a bit. I don't know which software you use, but if you are using GIMP, tell me the version you use, then I can give you tips or links to tutorials (or make one).

You can even avoid having to crop characters yourself, you can look for renders which are pre-cropped pics in PNG format. Here's a website where you will find plenty renders : http://www.planetrenders.net/
You need to create an account in order to get them full-sized and transparent.

no thx this is nice already.. I think you puted a lot of work in it. but thw purple lines are a bit ..like the dirt of the signature.. you should have worked more on it.

About this avatar, there's something weird with the heart. Even if I see no aliasing, the heart looks as if you used a GIF that you just smoothened the edges.

The reason : When a picture is transparent and has a dropshadow, the background behind the shadow becomes white when the pic is saved in GIF format. And the heart in the avatar reminds too much this effect. If you taken this heart pic on the net and was already in GIF, the look would've been better if you removed this outline (this means sacrificing the shadow) with the bezier tool, then you re-create a clean dropshadow from the heart shape, so you won't have this white background behind.

to add to above: or you could leave it without a drop shadow because it might look better in that small image

On the left side you can see the colors of reggea, the flames the skull and the alcohol bottle should representate Rock. The vectors on the left stand for techno..
