Post too long? Message disappears

I was writing a template for my forum in a topic, and when i pressed SEND the message was blank. I deleted the topic and I tried again, but I think it's because the message is too long. This never happened in another forum, can i somehow change it so that more characters can be made in one post without limit or with A LOT characters?

Can anyone tell me where I can edit/fix this problem? The message was shorter than some I saw on other forums..

The maximum possible amount of characters per message is around 16000 - this value can't be changed.

I want to remind that bumping your thread is only allowed if at least 24 hours have passed.

As I have mentioned already, you can't edit this value. However, normally, an error message would appear if you exceed the character limit - probably there is another reason for your problem.

You say you have written a html template... Try to either use the code tags around the whole html, or deactivate html for this post by removing the appropriate mark when writing it (below the texteditor-box).

I did mention a link in it and i saw some html restrictions in my admin panel. I think this is the reason because i did not get a character-exceed message
