Banning spammers

I have had an incident this week with a member on here joining my forum and spamming it. I have now had to change my settings so guests cannot post as they were doing this also.

Although I banned them, I have the following questions:

1. If you ban a member, does it ban their ip address?

2. If not, how do I ban their ip address?

3. I have a feeling they have joined as a different member on my forum today. I have their ip address, but how do I view the ip address of the other member I banned?

Hello,

To ban an IP address from your forum, you need to copy their IP address by clicking on the IP/Get Info button on one of their posts. Copy the IP address, then go to your Admin Panel > Users & Groups > Ban Control > Find this box > Add IP > Save

To view the IP address of a member you have banned, find one of their posts, and click on the IP/Get Info button on their post.

Ok thanks. Trouble is I deleted all their posts. Lol

Can you do it from the member list maybe?
