home page & portal page

Hello everyone,

Question: I want my forum guests only can see the home & portal page. If someone wanna see inside he/she have to register, I mean else user can't enter/see forum. how to do that?

you just have to set your forums permissions to members.
go to general. then click forums. you will have to set them one at a time in actions. then permissions.

select view and read and wright and reply.. do not give them special messages.
they are for you stickies and announcements. also do no select your members mod rights either. unless you want all of your members to have there mod tools and privileges.

also if you have any groups. select all groups to the permissions you want them groups to have.

so after you do that for all the forms. now only guest can view the portal.
which is good b/c if you put some interesting stuff in there and there curious on what the rest of the forum is like. then most of the time they will join.

oh and be sure to click save after ever forums permissions you set.
that should do it.

oh dang it!!! you want your guest to see the home page as well.
well the same thing just click guest along with that. but i would not allow them to write and reply.. then can join if they want to do that
