How to make forums and portal members only

How do i make the forums for members only.

And is it possible to make the portal members only? if so tell me

To make a forum members only,
Go to Admin Panel > General > Categories & forums...
then click on permission button () and you can decide here who can view the forum.

I've no idea about portal.

i want all the forums members only not a specific one. where it doesnt even let you veiw them until you login.

Yes, you can do this.
In permission, keep "View the forum" option for members only.
Check "Members" and remove "Guest".

You need to change permission of all the forums one by one.
I don't think there is any quicker way.

You will have do that to all your forums

For the Portal There is no option for that

The portal as in all the widgets? That only members can view?

What I did is I went to
Modules>Portal Management>Structure.

U'll see the widgets and stuff...click on the permissions...and uncheck guests. Now they won't get to see ur portal stuff.
