Signature Alignment Problem
First topic message reminder :
Sorry if this is in the wrong place
Today I was adding moods and admin buttons to the forum got them all up fine and working
Then I noticed that everyones sig's had been aligned to the right - I have done a screeny so you can see what I mean here
I thought maybe I had done something wrong while setting up the moods and admin buttons so I removed the lot but sig's are still aligned wrong
Any ideas how to fix this please

Re: Signature Alignment Problem
Bit of a topic change there... so I'll get back on topic!
I'm still waiting to find out whether the signatures are going to return to the full width of the postings and display correctly... Any forumotion staff on here that can help? I'm beginning to wish you hadn't upgraded anything!

Re: Signature Alignment Problem
Ok now this fix was originally for Phpbb3, it wont work in any other versions so you will have to tell if you have an issue and what version, Now it appears that i may have to tweak this a lil more for somepeople
Try this
1. Navigate to:
Admin Panel\Display\Color\CSS Stylesheet
2. Add the following code into the blank box and press "Submit" to save
3. Refresh your forums

Re: Signature Alignment Problem
The CSS code change, aligned the signatures completely to the left, under the avatars.
They were aligned to the left, right under each post prior to this. Is there a code change to put it back that way?
Thanks for your time.

Re: Signature Alignment Problem
The original code fixed our problem, for now.
.signature {
float: none !important;
}
My board likes our signatures aligned with the post, not with the avatars.

Re: Signature Alignment Problem
Hello,
That code didn't work for my forum using PHPB3, why is the code working for some and not others?

Re: Signature Alignment Problem
for those of you that have signatures aligned all the way to the left, on your CSS Stylesheet just delete the code out of the CSS Stylesheet and it will align your signatures back to the way they are supposed to be.
It worked for me just now

Re: Signature Alignment Problem
Why we should delete it, when everything was working yesterday with nothing deleted?

Re: Signature Alignment Problem
Deleting it didn't work for me. Now signatures are just floating randomly below the middle of the post.
Re: Signature Alignment Problem
OKay, i fixed on my forum.
In the CSS table there is .signature value, and in it width:. In my case it was width: 100%;, so I needed to change it to width: 76%; and it worked ;]

Re: Signature Alignment Problem
thx craig, but none of the solutions written here solved my problem, the sigs are still way below the posts, only aligned right >.< Hmm, if somebody who claims that their forum doesnt have any problems about this issue can post the whole signature code in the css stylesheet, that will be greatly appreciated ^^ Since i guess most of you and umm, i tried to change the codes to be able to adjust the signatures' position, but failed completely XD So, any help will be just fine

Hi Auwris,
It was hard to find the .signature value...but this fix worked for me....thanks. Hopefully it will look right for all screen resolutions for my members and not just on my computer.
Re: Signature Alignment Problem
- Code:
.signature {
width: 76% !important;
}
Appears to be the code that works, However it appears this is the standard code that has now been uploaded to ALL css, Please remove any code you have manually entered before no to see if the signatures are fixed

Re: Signature Alignment Problem
Well on ALL the CSS sheets have the new fixed code for the signature which has been amended, You may even need you to re upload the theme/skin you are using so that the sheet is updated correctly before you see the effects

Re: Signature Alignment Problem
If you exported it, The CSS may not have the actual css needed
Make sure that the CSS is similar to the following code
Regards
Craig
