Signature Alignment Problem - Page 3 Empty Signature Alignment Problem

Post by Missy10j November 17th 2008, 6:32 pm

First topic message reminder :

Sorry if this is in the wrong place

Today I was adding moods and admin buttons to the forum got them all up fine and working
Then I noticed that everyones sig's had been aligned to the right - I have done a screeny so you can see what I mean here

I thought maybe I had done something wrong while setting up the moods and admin buttons so I removed the lot but sig's are still aligned wrong Sad

Any ideas how to fix this please

Its ok

Your code is perfect and the issue on your forum is resolved, To centre any sigs simply insert the centring codes for bbcode Smile

Like so

Then the signature structure had an alteration, right? Since the way your(i refer to Craig here^^) sig here is under your profile part(which is the problem i wanted to point out), and no matter how short your post is, it would be still under it... It was not like this before and actually i would prefer the old one where the sig could be next to the profile of the user according to the height of the post ^^

Auwris wrote:OKay, i fixed on my forum.
In the CSS table there is .signature value, and in it width:. In my case it was width: 100%;, so I needed to change it to width: 76%; and it worked ;]
That worked, problem fixed, until forumotion fixes the issue and it messes up again..lol

We have this problem too. My posting boxes are filling the browser page the gap is so large.

Earlier I had the skew wiff sigs, put the CSS code fix in from earlier in the thread and it sorted it. Then the sigs went right over to the left, so I deleted the fix and that seemed to sort the problem. But the gap between post comments and sig is really big.

Is there a fix for this please? I'm afraid by reading the thread, I can't work out whether there is or isn't. Doh!!!!
Thanks. Laughing

Can someone please try this for me Razz

1. Navigate to:

Admin Panel\Display\Color\CSS Stylesheet

2. Add the following code into the blank box and press "Submit" to save

Code:
.signature {
   margin-top: auto !important;
   }

3. Refresh your forums

Let me know how that goes, This should bring the signature section inline automatically with your profile

Regards

Hiya Craig

I just tried that code and the gap still there Sad

We also got another prob now *sigh* when in a post we are missing a link back to the main forum so have to click home now each time we want to get back to main forum - In this post at top there is 3 links (The forum of the forums :: Support forum :: Manage the appearance of your forum)
Yesterday we had the 3 links now only have the two Sad
Any ideas how to bring back the 3rd link that takes us back to main forum when in a post?

Thanks

I know whats the problem, i faced it myself Wink

In admin panel,
General>Forum
Site Name: Enter your site name.

This will make it work. However your site name will also appear under your Banner.

So if you don't want your site name to appear under your banner, just go to
Display>Homepage>Headers and navigation
Display forum title : Check it to No.

Hope this helps.
