Important!!

I just want to notify everyone that I saw a user on my forum named Capone/, and his email address is very obvious that refers to him as being Wildkat. I know he is ''impostering'', but the staff should do something about this..

EDIT: This is happening to forums, and the number is getting greater. List what your email has been changed to and see if it relates to anything..

This is the person that threatened me with my forum.
Perhaps you should PM an Admin, that's what I did.

WHAAAT!!. Omg, who on earth hacked my email?.... I would never sign up as Capone/ Whoever did will pay big amount.
To all forumotion staff, could you please sort out this capone/ person, they hacked my IP and Email and are now trying to impersonate me on forums that aren't needing to do with forumotion, they have impersonated me at a vb forum I work at. Please Fix this. I beg you

OMFG! THIS IS GETTING OUT OF HAND! EVERYONES EMAILS ARE DYING!

Please forumotion, this is getting everyone in tears. I was able to get into the account the member did on rok's forum and changed my username. I ask that everyone have email or admin vefication on their forums until this gets sorted. I am already in trouble with the admin at the Vb board I work at even though I never did anything.

Edit: I meant forum, not account..

This is serious forum-wise. Everyone just do what Prince Caspian said and set your forum on verification..

Admin verication would be the best, at least for 2 hours or 3.

This would be horible if it was massive. What if every forum may get hit by this?


But.. There's something fishy. Has anyone noticed that the support forum hasn't had any problems like what everyone else's forums are experiencing?

Yea, I agree. Why havnt they done anything on the support forum?

I just banned a capone from my site. They signed up for a member ship to my site.

I am really sorry about what has happened, As soon as I find out who is doing it and abusing my IP/Email and username they will pay... If you are going to say its me, Its not because the same hacker hacked and deleted the forum I just made.

I got an excellent idea. When the admins restore our account back, we are able to access back into the admin panel and see the Modifying History. We are able to see who changed who's email address.

Omg, wtf does the hacker want? he has ruined our forums and our respect for forumotion. the hacker should lose his internet rights, He can hack IP's though. You have no idea who could be using your IP at the same time as him. it just is a matter of waiting and seeing if there is any talk about your IP and then sort it out. Maybe we should leave this support forum for at least 15 mins and then seeing if the hacker decides to come here?

This is unbelievable, Would banning the username 'Capone/' make any difference?

Not only did I ban them but I blocked the IP address from them as well. It is someone that has access/reads here. Right after I posted that I banned them I got this pm (pay attention to the subject line directed toward me)

Whoever it was just pm-ed the admins only on my forum. I have two account for myself that are set as admins on my forum. The second one a friend helps me while we are both on the computer together. My regular members did not get any of these messages, thank god. So whoever it was that put my user name in the subject line was also reading my post over here while it was going on.

Well whoever capone/ is they are not getting forum addresses from here, or not only from here anyway. He was on my friends forum, she isn't registered here and neither is her site ??

I couldn't find capone/ in admin panel, so i clicked on his name and got to the profile from that - it said "crystals profile' !!! unfortunately I cannot remember what email addy he/she used.

Well it is all fixed now so that is all that matters. It will not happen again.
