Rules
I want one quick, easy way for all people to enter my forum to see the rules.
I just don't know how to do it.
Ive been looking at those buttons at the top (log in, FAQ) and i was wondering if i could transform one (like the portal) into a Rules section instead.
Didn't work, well not from my knowledge.
So is there one way i could easily link the users where the rules are posted easily?

Re: Rules
Heres an idea, create a forum with all your rules on it, then put a link to that forum on the top and name it rules, when people click on it they will goto it.
Make sure members acn ONLY read, not create posts.

Re: Rules
Just create a forum...name it ...Rules.
In the...Permisions ... Allow All Read Only.
That way everyone can see and read the rules but not post in that forum.

Hi
When someone registers for an account on your forum, they will see Forum Terms of Service. You can add your own rules under that - so people will see your rules before they register.
admin > general > rules and FAQ > additional rules > type in whatever rules you want in the box and save

Re: Rules
I agree with akaskic ^^
But if you want a link on the nav bar.
Go to Display>Navigation and headers>
Scroll down to the bottom of the nav links box
Click on "create customized menu" and go from there to make one.

Re: Rules
Hello,
You could always create an HMTL page for your rules. (admin panel > modules > portal management > create new page)
Name it "Rules" and set;
Width column 1 (left): 0%
Width column 2 (middle): 100%
Width column 3 (right): 0%
Remove the all the widgets from all the columns, then click on "Create Custom Block". Name the widget "Rules" and set "Use a Table Type" to 'No'.
Post your rules in the box below and save. All Done

Thanks for copying EXACTLY what i said, but, yeah, what was said is good. What Dajiro said is nother way, but i though you want to post rules and stuff.
Re: Rules
Yeah another thing i forgot to mention was that everyone must post their name below to say that they have read the rules so a portal sort of defeated the purpose xD
