members posting pictures
Hi all
Apart from photobucket that members are using at the moment, I see we have a post image button on the reply section, I have tried to upload an image using this method but I can't make it work.
Can anyone tell us in simple terms how to use this function and what we have to do? we just need to upload from our own PC's

Hello Jeff,
To place pictures in posts, you would need to upload pictures onto Photobucket like you have just stated. To do this, login to your Photobucket account and go to your albums.
Then, you would need to use this BBCode:
You can access it from Photobucket like this:
For example:
And the result:
Make sure you have BBCodes enabled in the post and through the Administration Panel!

Base

Hi musket how the devil are you
Thanks for your reply
I have just spent the last half hour learning how to upload an image via the forum its self and its pretty much similar to using photobucket, I have done a step by step guide now for the members, I just hope they understand it lol.
Trouble with the www.servimg.com on the forum, is its full of popups and quite annoying.
I would recommend anyone to Just use there own photobucket account if there more used to that.
Thanks for your reply musket, I'll have a look at your link now to see if it gives any better instructions on How to.
Take care my friend
Regards
Jeff

Re: members posting pictures
Okay, I have figured it out I can post pictures in a topic...
Here goes.
Find picture you want to post.
Push button "Host an Image" on tool bar above.
Click Browse box and select your picture.
Click "Host it" box.
Now, here's the glitch. It won't let you copy though it says so,
So, click on the box just below the image size you want to try.
Now, while it is highlighted in blue, right click on that [url=http://etc.
Click on copy.
Now paste that on your post area.
(I have found a short cut. Just click the [url=http://... and drag over to the post area).
Hit preview and whala! Your picture appears on the preview page (not the 'type your post' page).
If the picture does not appear on the preview page, try scrolling down to "OPTIONS" and Disable HTML in this post. Then hit Preview button again.

I can click on this thumbnail pick and a ship I served on comes to life! Gets larger anyway.
Here's the image selection
