Problems with posting pictures
Hello:
In our forum we are noticing that whenever a big picture is being posted, some portion of the right half of the picture is not displayed. Normally if we post the links from photobucket or tinypic in other forums, we see that if the pictures are big they are resized, but the whole picture is displayed.
Why is this so, and how do we overcome this?
Thanks

Re: Problems with posting pictures
I have that problem too. But if you use Serving.com you also can choose a option too post the picture with a link to a screen/tab (or whatever it's called in English) where the picture can be seen whole.

Re: Problems with posting pictures
SERVING.COM is not working for our forum and hasn't been for a couple of days. Is there a problem in general? If not what can we do about it? There has not been excess posting at all.
Thank you

Re: Problems with posting pictures
Thanks for replying. My problem is not about photos being displayed or not, the problem is the right side is not viewable. Some portion of the right half is just trimmed.
Please help.

Re: Problems with posting pictures
He was suggesting that servimg has some issues, so do not use it.
Also about your issue, the images can't be automatically resized on forumotion. It has been already suggested that it is possible to do that.

Re: Problems with posting pictures
if that happens and in your forum there's a rule about images being that big, edit the post and write "(image removed due to size)" where the image was. and if there's not, live with it.

Re: Problems with posting pictures
So basically if the images are big (like that i posted in this thread above) I have only 2 options, either to remove them or live with it. Is this correct? No other way out, such that the images are displayed properly?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Problems with posting pictures
I have a solution for you that may or may not help depending on how big the image is. Change your resolution, and if that dosn't work this is a 100% sure proof fix.
<img src=(URL of Image Here) width=300 height=300></img>
Remember to take out the parenthesis when you put in the image URL, and you can choose the height and the width of the image thus making it fit. Lastly make sure you have html enabled in posts on your forum or this wont work.

Re: Problems with posting pictures
Try "Clickable thumbnails" it's a good way to post large images
[click]
The Url links to a full size image, the [img] jpg is a clickable thumbnail
