Help with adding another admin/co-admin
Hi there
I'm new here and I hope that I'm posting in the right section of the forum. I have just created a forum with me as the only Admin so far - and I have also created a separate username for myself and made me a Moderator too.
I would like to add another Admin or two in the near future. How do I do this and would I also have to pass them my Admin login details/password, ie would they have to use the same login details? At the moment, I'm using my Moderator username on a daily basis and haven't had to use my Admin login at all. But I guess to make them a co-Admin, they would need to login as Admin should the need arise.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Ok, you'll have to add the selected user to that Administrator group; to do this :
Admin Panel >
Users & Groups >
Scroll down a bit, and click on Groups Administration on the sidebar >
On this next page, you will have a list of staff groups that you can add a user to; click on the Administrator group. >
On the next page, scroll down a bit and in the area where it asks for a username to add to the current group, key in the user's username and save the settings.
I recommend you save this as a document so you won't forget.

Thanks for your reply.
Do I need to let them have my Admin password (the one which I set up when I created the forum) or do they just log in with their own username as per usual?

Hi alice
They use their own details. Never give any one your details, being the founder you have extra options in the admin panel. Deletion of the forum being the main one.

Once you place that user in that Admin group, they gain full control of all powers.
Also, like Akashic said, never give out your password or account information.
