post editing functions missing

My forum has suddenly no post editing function buttons for members. But for the admin these are there. Can you help?

The edit function for members has only the reply with quote button. The admin for the same procedure has everything.

Check and see if you edit buttons are hidden.

Checked them. None are hidden. I haven't been anywhere near the config. A member just mentioned this morning that he suddenly had no edit function or delete, etc buttons on his posts. But this only applies to members not admin.

Check the permissions of the forums, see if members have 'edit own posts' ; 'delete own posts' marked.
